Compensation: Hourly, $20-$22
Reports to: Summer Camp Staff Teacher & Program Director

About SMPCW

San Marcos Parent-Child Workshop is a play-based preschool with an outdoor-focused learning environment. Our summer camp program offers hands-on activities, sensory play, art, water play, and opportunities for children (ages 2–5) to explore and learn through curiosity and connection.

Position Overview

We are looking for a reliable and caring Summer Camp Preschool Teacher to support daily activities, supervise children, and help create a safe and engaging learning environment. This role works closely with our Summer Camp Staff Teacher and program staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up and guiding daily play-based activities.

• Supervise and actively engage children throughout the day.

• Support smooth routines (transitions, snack time, clean-up, group time).

• Model positive guidance and help children navigate social interactions.

• Maintain safety and organization in indoor and outdoor areas.

Required Qualifications

• 12+ Early Childhood Education (ECE) units (verified).

• Experience working with children ages 2–5 in a preschool, camp, or childcare setting.

• Ability to work outdoors and support hands-on learning activities.

• Reliable communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to Have

• Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
